Tynker assignment - Spider Spin
Block Version
- functions
- motion
- conditional statements
- drawing
- Used the placepoint function to create the corner dots of the spiderweb
- Send x and y coordinates, the program moved the spider accordingly and place a dot at each point
- Create all of the placepoints we need to make our shape and press play. Then see what happens.
- I tried to create a shoe type of thing.
- Then I tried to create a draw web.
- I the function of colour purple in the Draw Web.
- The number of webs that I choose are 30. Even after doing these functions of Draw Web nothing really happened. The web did not get created.
- So now I made a mistake. I messed up the points of the web. The points were crossing over each other.
- The teacher helped me to create the right points at right places.
- Now the points were created and then the spider web was played.
- These were the points that were created.
- Now this rainbow web was created after the play button was pressed.
My created Spider Web
- This is the spider web that I created.
- I made a spider web diamond with purple colour web.
- The functions and place of points were changed according to the shape of the diamond.
- I also changed the background of the spider web.
Spider Spin Java Script reflection
- At first I was enable to find my saved projects.
- When I found my saved my projects I opened the project of java script.
- I gave my project the name " My Spider Spin".
- In java script the web is a little difficult to create.
- I had to read all of the tutorial only then was able to make the changes in Java script.
- The shape I tried to make was a triangle but it is confusing for me on how make the triangle in centre.
- I changed the number of layers of the web and the colour.
- The functions of the create point was changed by me to create a triangle.
- These were the create points that I created to build the triangle.
- In the second picture the triangle that I created is shown.
- Now I changed the colour of the web into some blue and light green colour.
- Now this is how it looks after changing the colour of the web into blue and green colour.
- These were the functions created to change the colour of the web.
My final Java Script web
- I changed the create points of the web.
- I also changed the colour of the web.
- A new shape was formed after the changes.
- The colour of the web also got changed from blue and light green to blue and green.
- The shape of type of a Hourglass.
PROGRAMMING 400 REFLECTION: Introduction to Python
Chapter 1: In this chapter I learned what the game is. In this chapter it written to help the players save the jungle from the enemy.
Chapter 2: In first chapter there was asked to write the functions of how to move the player forward and how many steps the player need to move so that it can reach the goal. Only 2 steps were needed to move forward and reach the goal. So, i created the functions of ('A')and ('B') so that the player can move forward. Then i pressed and the player reached its goal. This means that the functions that i created were right.
Chapter 3: In the second chapter how to comment a code is explained. There was already written a function "Feather". It written to play 'run' to see if the "Feather" is visible on the preview or not. I clicked 'run' and "Feather was visible on the preview. So, now i tried to write something else to check if it will be visible on the preview or not. The function that i wrote was "Play" and when pressed 'run' then "Play" was visible on the preview. I also tried to write something thinking if it will come out as an error but I was wrong. The was not an error. I added single Quotation marks instead of double Quotation marks. The function that I wrote in single Quotation marks is 'no'.
Chapter 4: In this chapter I created the functions to move the player forward and reach its goal. But there was a problem and the problem was that i didn't knew how to stop the player at the goal not to move any further. When i pressed run the player moved forward but didn't stopped at the goal and it was coming out that the player didn't reached the goal. Then after trying so many times I came up with the solution of deleting the extra forward commands. After deleting the extra forward commands I clicked 'run' and that worked. The problem was solved and there was no more errors.
Chapter 5: In this chapter I learned about how to move the player forward then right. At first I was so confused and wasn't getting how to make the player reach the goal. I wrote many.wrong functions at first but then after trying for couple of times I got the right code. The functions on how to move the player forward then right were working this time.
Chapter 6: In this chapter I learned on how to move the character forward couple of times and then right 2 times. The functions that were created by me to make the character reach its goal were a little wrong. Then I corrected the mistakes that I created. I changed the functions so that the character can reach the goal.
Chapter 7: This chapter was a little easy. I didn't find any difficulties while doing this chapter. The functions that I created at first all of them were right. The function to kill the enemy was right and the monster was killed after the fire.
Chapter 8: This chapter was a bit difficult because there were 2 enemies and the player was killed by the second enemy because the functions that I created were not enough to make the character reach the goal. After I corrected the mistakes and created new functions the player reached the goal after killing both of the enemies.
Chapter 9: This chapter was very easy. In this chapter only the number of forwards were supposed to create. I created 8 forwards to make the character reach the goal. Then the solution worked and there was no error.
Chapter 10: Chapter 10 is about loops. In this chapter I learned what loops are. Loops are used to run a code many times. I changed the functions in the code of the loop in the second picture and it actually worked.
Chapter 11: In this chapter I learned about Indentation. Indentation is used to show the structure of the code and to make the code more readable. I changed the functions in code and added 48 in the range instead of the numbers under 10.
Chapter 12: In this chapter I used loop to move the player forward. But I made some mistakes and the functions of the code was incorrect. There was only a small mistake. The mistake was that I didn't left any space before writing the function forward('A').
Chapter 13: In this chapter I created the functions of how to kill many enemies by adding loop. In this chapter I also learned that I don't need to write letters in forward('A'). If need to move my player forward then I don't need to write forward after creating some space.
Chapter 14: This chapter had so many new things. In this chapter I had to create the functions on how to move the player right and left including the functions of the loop.
Chapter 15: Chapter 15 is a chapter which contains quiz. Most of the quiz were correct. I also got some wrong answers.
Programming 400: My Spiral Shapes Reflection
In this project I tried creating a flower type of spiral shape. My spiral shape is like a shape of a flower Froyle Mill. To create the spiral shape of the flower I changed the angle in range. The no. of sides were also changed by me to create a flower. I also changed the draw_shape_spiral numbers and the colour of my spiral shape that I choose is 'Purple'. This is the flower spiral shape that I created. So now there was a problem. The shape that I created was actually perfect so I tried to create a new shape with the help of my teacher. I created some new functions and changed the angle, colour and number of spirals in my new spiral shape. The functions that I created worked and it created a beautiful spiral shape.
Programming 400: Introduction to JavaScript Reflection
Chapter 1: In this chapter I was given a mission to guide the players through out the game. There was a new colony in outer space and players found no signs of life. So I had the duty to guide the players so that they can reach the goal.
chapter 2: In this chapter I had to create the functions on how to move the player forward and reach the goal. I had already done this once in the "Introduction to Pythons" so this was not very difficult for me. In this chapter there is also a way to find if we are doing wrong. If we are doing wrong or something is missing in our functions then there will be an error shown. We also need to add semicolon in this game after forward because it is a javascript.
Chapter 3: In this chapter I learned on how to write the code using comments. I also learned that if computers need a code to run then 'humans' also need a code to run. I wrote "Whats,up" in the functions to see if it will be visible on the console. It worked.
Chapter 4: In this chapter I had to create the number of steps as the number of tiles were. There we more than 4 forward functions created so the player was felling off. I deleted some of the forward functions.
chapter 5: This chapter was about how to move the player 'left'. I was confused at on how to move the player to the left side. I didn't added the function of turnleft. I was After trying for some time I got the right solution.
Chapter 6: In this I created the functions of how to move the player on stairs and then left. These were the functions that I created to move the player.
Chapter 7: This chapter was confusing for me. I got confused because I had to create functions to move the player both left and right. After creating functions for player to move left and right I forgot to create a function to move the character forward. So after thinking for some time and some trials I finally got the solution right.
Chapter 8: This chapter is about loops. Loops are the way to move the character forward as many times we need without creating number of forward functions. I couldn't seem to notice what the error was. The errors were coming again and again but I was not able to solve the problem. After trying for so many times I finally found the correct functions for the loop.
Chapter 9: Indentation chapter was also very difficult for me. I think java script is difficult for me to understand and do.
Chapter 10: This chapter was easy. I just had to create some forward functions to move the player forward. The only different thing was that in first forward function I had to put '{' for functions to work properly. I tried to put the same '{' in other forward functions but it came out as an error so deleting that '{'. The thing that I forgot in this chapter is that I had to create functions of loop to move the player forward. In creating those loop functions, I was having difficulty.
Chapter 11: In this chapter I created functions on how to move the player from one place to another place by high jump and long jump. The functions were right, and solution was correct. At first I created some wrong functions by adding the function of forward.
Chapter 12: In this chapter I learned how to kill the enemies and move the player by using loop functions instead of forward functions. I had to repeat the steps of loop 3 times because there were 3 enemies and 5 steps before every enemy.
chapter 13: This chapter was tricky for me. I had to create multiple functions of forward jump and fire. There was times when I forgot to add some steps and because of missing some steps the player was not able to reach the portal.
chapter 14: This chapter was a little similar to the last chapter. The difference between these chapters were that in the last chapter there was 2 enemies but in this chapter there was only 1 enemy. The other difference is that in last chapter there was a stepping box before the portal but in this chapter there was no stepping box before the portal.
Chapter 15: In this chapter I completed the quiz related to java Script. Most of the quiz answers were right. These were just to test how much I learned in Java Script.
Programming 400: Emoji Maker Reflection
This lesson is about emoji making. I tired making other shapes but it was a little difficult for me because I couldn't understand what I had to do in this lesson. So I changed the colour of the emoji from 'light green' to 'sky blue'. I also changed the colour of the legs of the emoji from 'light green' to 'purple'.
Programming 400: Photo album Reflection
In this lesson I learned so many new things. I learned how to create functions to add borders at the page, how to change the and size of the font and position of the text. These are the functions that I created with the help of the teacher.
